Cartooning-Mondays 3:30-4:30 2/6, 2/13, 2/27, 3/6, 3/13
This class is designed for students in Grades 1-5 who want to learn the fundamentals of cartooning and illustration through fun projects that stimulate their imagination. Students will learn to draw their favorite characters such as Pokemon or Minecraft while developing their own style through exciting projects.
Teacher-led demos teach students how to use illustration markers, brush pens/fine liners, and watercolors
Students create artwork that showcases original characters in their own cartooning style
About the instructor Washington Young:
Award ward winning Washington 'Tonton' Young, to be joining the Yellow Door team!!! Washington has been a working cartoonist since 1983! He has compiled 11 comic books entitled " Pugung," exhibited in Japan, South Korea, and Singapore! He currently teaches in the Dwight Englewood School Art program and is looking forward to creating with your artists!!!!
