Fashion Design-Semester 8 classes
Thursdays- 5:30-6:30 4/13, 4/20, 4/27, 5/4, 5/11, 5/18, 5/25, 6/1
Ages: 14-18

This course is for the future fashion designers, High School students who are looking to go into the fashion field or want to learn how to make garments or alter clothing for self expression. Students will be emerszined in a full fashion experience. Mary Ellen will guide each designer as they create a one of a kind garments for their runway show on the last day of this course.
During the course of 8 classes Designers will :
Create mood boards
Learn and use proper drawing techniques
Cut and sew patterns
Embellish
Manipulate textiles
Deconstruct/reconstruct garments
Embroider and hand stitch
About the instructor Mary Ellen McAteer:
Mary Ellen is a 3rd generation designer and entrepreneur. She has been featured on Women’s Wear Daily, awarded 40 under 40 from Drexel, and published nationally. Mary Ellen is our Fashion Design instructor and the master mind behind our sensory tables as well asl our house photographer. Mary Ellen has been teaching her daughter since a young age how to design & sew and is very excited to share her gift with you Designers!
